Review: Revlon Kissable Balm Stain!

Hello everyone! So I'm sure you've all heard that Revlon have released a new product very similar (try identical!) in appearance and concept to Clinique's Chubby Sticks. Revlon's version are called the 'Kissable Balm Stain' and mine is in the shade 'Rendez-Vous' - a beautiful bright orange shade that really adds something to any look!

The product provides a shiny, vibrant finish which I personally love and I really want to try out some more colours!

This product is perfect for summer as it provides a bit of moisture, (although I wouldn't go as far to say that it's like a tinted lip balm) an extremely long-lasting stain and the colour pigmentation is fantastic. It lasted on my lips all day and did not even come off after eating/drinking which was a massive bonus. Also, it didn't transfer on to anything that my lips touched - again this is great!

These are priced at £7.99 (although I picked up mine for £5.99 on an offer in Boots) and are available from both Boots and Superdrug.

So overall these are amazing, high-quality lip products Revlon have come up with and I think it's something everyone should have in their collection. I definitely want to try out some more colours as I absolutely love these!

Will you be picking one up?
Much Love,
Lizzy

How I Store: Lip Products!

I think I just need to accept that I'm never going to get these blog posts out at a consistent rate, well, at least not any time soon. I know, it's bad, but hey - at least I'm admitting it! ;)
"Hi my name is Lizzy and I don't blog regularly."
"Hi Lizzy."

Pahaha that aside, here is today's post...

I love looking at different ways to store my makeup, my collection is something I do take pride in and I want to display it nicely so when I was gifted this lipstick/product holder by my friend I couldn't have been happier!

It is a simple acrylic lip product holder in the shape of a flower which makes it slightly more unique I suppose.
It has space for six lip products and the section in the middle is a flower and I use that space also for Q-tips!

I put this holder on my dresser with the rest of my every day makeup and it's great for storing my favourite 'at the moment' lip products.

You can purchase this on amazon here along with lots of other lovely storage units by "GLAM" and for £3.95, what have you go to loose?!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

NOTD: Funky Fuchsia!

Hope you're having a great diamond jubilee weekend!<3
I have a NOTD for you all today, and I actually took these photos around Easter time but just haven't had time to do this post yet and am going to be painting my nails this colour after writing this post! Love this colour so much!

As a base for the nails I just used Rimmel's '60 Second' nail polish in 'Clear' and then went ahead and applied this Rimmel 'I <3 Lasting Finish' nail polish in the colour '025 Strawberry Fizz' - a lovely more pink fuchsia colour which is absolutely gorgeous! It applies so well to the nails and is practically opaque with one coat, although I did two just to make sure!

To finish off the nails I used Sally Hansen's 'Mega Shine' top coat and on my thumb and ring finger I used Barry M's Crackle Coat in 'White' just for something a little bit different to what I usually do! I think this colour could be a great year-round colour but particularly nice for spring & summer!

What's on your nails right now?
Much Love,

Haul: A Few Cheeky Purchases!

 Hello girlies!

Thought I would just let you know about some recent purchases of mine! I picked up three stila products from TKMaxx the other day! I got the Stila Sheer Colour Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 30, along with a concealer (which is far too dark so I can giving to my friend!) and a high-shine lip colour in the shade 'Serena' - a pretty "my lips but better with shimmer" colour! I have so far been LOVING the tinted moisturiser (expect to see that in a video soon) and the high shine lip colour is beautiful! The best thing about the stila products? I only paid £9.99 for all three! Amazing, I know! Obviously you can't pick and choose colours/shades very easily, but none the less, an incredible deal! I recommend popping down to your local TKMaxx and see what they have to offer!

I also picked up Cosmopolitan's beauty blender dupe from superdrug for £4.99 too on the same day when my EcoTools stippling kabuki failed on me and began to shred awfully! I picked this up as a temporary way to apply my foundation while I had nothing else (I now own the RT core collection - amazing!) and it actually worked pretty well! I think it's a great sponge and its very easy to use/work with!

Have you picked up anything exciting recently?
All for now folks!
Much Love,

Review: Benefit Eye Bright Pencil!

Today I have a little review on something I picked up last week during my Easter holidays - Benefits 'Eye Bright ' Pencil. This is a product that has been on my wishlist for a while now as I haven't really seen anything like it anywhere else. It was £14.50 so a little steep for a pencil but I think it was definitely worth it!
So, first off, the colour of the pencil is a milky pink colour with a slight hint of shimmer (more noticeable when applied to the eye) and although it is in pencil form, it glides onto the eye area easily and effortlessly as it were a gel formula and requires little blending.
Another thing I love about this product is how multi-purpose it is. I like to use this for highlighting the inner and outer corners of my eyes to brighten them up, line my waterline with it to make my eyes appear bigger and brighter and this pencil also works well on under-eye circles to get rid of any tiredness or darkness.

I find that the pencil has great staying power, but depending on what I'm doing (sport, shopping etc.) it can fade a bit on my waterline, but this is the only place I have noticed it fading.

The only other downside is that the pencil requires sharpening and to do this you have to purchase the benefit sharpener as no other typical sharpener is suitable for the job because the benefit pencils are generally thicker than the average eye pencil.

Overall I love this product and have used it everyday since I bought it, its a great investment and something I will get a lot of use out of and will re-purchase.

Hope you enjoyed!
Much Love,
Lizzy

NOTD: Topshop 'Causing A Stir'

I picked up this nail polish around September but surprisingly have only just gotten around to wearing it! Crazy stuff I know!

So this colour is in 'Causing A Stir' and its a gorgeous vibrant peach colour. It reminds me of Barry M's 'Peach Melba' but a shade darker!

The formula is good as it only takes 1 - 2 coats to get a good, opaque layer. I really like the finish of this nail polish - its creamy and very shiny!

I love this colour and think its a great one for spring!
If you want to know some of my other recommendations for springtime, check out my video!

Review: Maybelline Colour 24H Eyeshadow in 'Permanent Taupe'!

Hello everyone, hope your having a wonderful day! :)

Now, there is no doubt you will have heard about these cream eyeshadows 'till the cows come home, and you probably already have some! But if not, here's yet another review just to persuade you even more!

Unfortunately in the Boots store I visited, they had sold out of both the gold & bronze colour so I decided to pick up this matte taupe colour.

The colour itself is very pigmented and to describe the colour I would say it is a grey toned taupe colour. It's the perfect colour for everyday wear and its easy to blend making it easy to work/play around with. I love wearing this all over the lid with shimmery white eye shadow over the top. It gives the look a lot more dimension!

As for staying power, these are brilliant! Not sure about 24h, but who wears eye shadow for 24 hours? Haha! These stay put on the lids very well and look as vibrant as they did when first applied. I was very impressed with this as my lids tend to be on the oily side.

And for price, these are extremely reasonable! They are only £4.99 and considering they are meant to be comparable to MAC's paint pots that is a steal! (& whoever gets through a jar this size anyway?!)

Overall these are an amazing products and I definitely want to check out the other shades, particularly the bronze and gold, but the aqua blue colour is tempting also for the summer!

Well that was my little review! Hope you all enjoyed & I will try and get another blog post (probably another review) to you all soon! Bye for now!

Much Love,
Lizzy

What's In My Makeup Bag? ~ Eyes & Lips ~

Here is my 'What's In My Makeup Bag' post part 2! This post will be showing you my eyes and lips products that I have been using on a daily basis recently!
For part 1 (including my face products) click here!

Eyes

Benefit's 'Lemon Aid' Eyelid Primer - this is great for brightening up the lids and removing any discolouration! It also makes a fab eyeshadow base! What more could I want?

Natural Collection Eyeshadow 'Sea Shell' - this is just a simple matte white eye shadow & it's perfect for highlighting!

Sleek Makeup Pallette 'Storm' - I'm pretty sure everyone and their mother has this pallette so I won't go into too much detail! It's just a fab eyeshadow pallette full of matte/shimmery neutrals and smokes!

Garnier Eye Roll On - I use this every morning just after my moisturiser. It's brilliant for brightening up the area and prepping for my concealer!

Maybelline 'One by One' Mascara - this is my go-to mascara of the moment and I have to say that I LOVE IT! It's such a great mascara for lengthening, separating and adding a dramatic touch to your lashes!

Natural Collection 'Lash Care' Mascara - this is just a simple, cheap clear mascara! I use this pretty much every day to set my brows after filling them in. (To do this I take the matte light brown colour from the sleek pallette!) It works really well and for £1.99...well...!

Lips

Cath Kidston Rose Lip Gloss - this is just a lovely velevety smooth lip gloss which to me is more like a balm! I love the packaging and the glossiness it gives my lips.

Carmex - everyone needs this in their life! If I have seriously chapped lips I turn to this medicated lip balm to turn my lips back into smooth & soft goodness!

Rimmel Vinyl Lipgloss 'Take A Chance' - I love this lipgloss for everyday. It is the perfect baby pink/nude colour and it gives my lips a beautiful shimmer without being over the top and the texture is lovely! Not too sticky! Would highly recommend these glosses!

That's everything I have been putting in my makeup bag as of the last month or so! If you enjoyed this post, please f0llow for more and tell your friends about my blog? I will love you forever! ;)

Much Love,
Lizzy

What's In My Makeup Bag? ~ Face ~

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a fabulous Tuesday!
Today I thought I would give you all an update of some of my favourite, every day products & what better way to do that than to show what's in my every day makeup bag!
Just a little disclaimer; this is not a makeup bag I keep in my school/hand bag! It is a makeup bag I keep on my counter with my everyday products in it so that I don't have to go routing through everything to find what I want :)

This first post is going to be the face products in the bag. I decided to do separate posts as this post would be WAAAAAY too long!!

First of all, the makeup bag. This makeup bag is from Jack Wills and was purchased sometime in the summer of 2011? It used to have a zip at the top but that broke but I have been putting this to good use on my counter! I like the fact you can see through it so you can see vaguely what you want!

Face

No7 Essentially Natural Mineral Foundation ~ This is the foundation I have been using of late! It provides a satin/matte finish and looks extremely natural. I don't think it will be a holy grail item but I do really enjoy using it!

No7 Shine Free Primer ~ If you have watched my "Products I Regret Buying" video you will not I am not a fan of this primer - it doesn't provide a matte finish for any longer than an hour. Not impressive! The only reason I have this in here is to use it up!

Clinique Anti-Blemish Clearing Concealer ~ I really love this concealer! You only need the tiniest amount & it covers really well! Will almost definitely re-purchase!

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer ~ This is basically the drugstore's answer to YSL's "Touche Eclat". It is great for brightening up the eye area as it has a nice pink undertone. I have had this since April 2011 and it's STILL going strong!

NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder ~ Again, this is not a holy grail product for me, but it gives a nice finish and I want to use it up! Not a bad product for £2.00!

MeMeMe Beat the Blues Highlighter "Sun Beam" ~ This a really pretty golden shimmery highlighter. It gives me a lovely natural glow & is a fab dupe for Benefits "MoonBeam"!

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush "06" ~ This is the perfect everyday cream blush! I just dab this on my cheeks, blend and I'm good to go! Gives a great healthy glow to my cheeks and looks very natural! Definitely want to try more of these!

Well that's all for now!
Stay tuned for my eye & lips products which will be in a separate post soon!

What are some of your holy grail products?

Much Love,
Lizzy

What's a burning? ~ Yankee Candle in "Country Lemonade"

I'm not even going to go into why there has been a lack of posts as it would take up a post on its own! Basically, I have been extremely busy and any free time I've had I have been dedicating to my youtube videos. Hopefully, now I can start posting more regularly!

Anyway, today's post is dedicated to a lovely candle I purchased at least two months ago!

It is Yankee Candles Scented Candle in "Country Lemonade"!

I absolutely love this candle and think it would be a great one for spring and this upcoming summer as it has a light, fresh scent making it a perfect scent for this time of year!
The scent is true to its name as it smells exactly like traditional home-made lemonade! It is smells light and delicate both in the jar and when burning.
Another thing I love about this candle is the fact that it does not burn down quickly. You can always tell if the quality of a candle is good or not but the speed at which it burns. This is the smallest jar sized candle you can purchase from YC and it lasts forever!

Have you tried any Yankee Candles? If so, what are your favourite scents? Leave a comment below! :)

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Pratically Perfect - NOTD!

This NOTD is on No7's 'Stay Perfect Nail Polish' in 'Practically Perfect 150' it is a lovely milky nude colour which I really like for everyday particularly during the late winter/spring time as it is nice and neutral and just makes your nails look polished and fresh.

I only have two coats of this nail polish on my nails in the pictures and as you can see you can't quite get the colour but later on in the day I added a third coat and I got the true colour that you see in the bottle.
I really like the formula in general of these nail polishes and the brush is great because it is wide so you only need two swipes when painting! Cool, huh?

That's all for now! x

Lip Balms - My Faves!

Holaa girls! This post is going to be showing you how I store some of my lip balms/products as well as showing you a few of my favourite lip blams!
Enjoy!

The first of my favourite lip balms is this 'Sweet Vanilla Salve' by Rose & Co. I love this lip balm because the consistency is fab and it is great if you just want something moisturising with no colour. I particularly like using this before I go to bed as it feels and smells very relaxing! The scent is amazing!

The next lip balm(tint in this case) is from LUSH and this is their 'Latte' lip tint. It is a gorgeous bronzey/champagne colour and looks very pretty if applied sparingly on the lips. I really enjoy using this product as the taste and smell is lovely! Just like a cup of coffee! Although I don't find it terribly moisturising, I like it all the same!

These are the 'Born Lippy Lip balms' by The Body Shop. I love these and these are probably one of my favourite lip balms to use! Just wish they came in stick form! Haha!
They are extremely moisturising but feel like a very creamy lip gloss! They have great colour pay-off and they smell and taste DELICIOUS! Total recommend!

I'm sure you know this one! This is the original 'Carmex' and this is great before bed or just generally when your lips have been through a lot! It stings a little on the lips but that means it's working! It's very moisturising and good at curing dry, chapped lips. I am yet to try the squeeze-tube lip balms but this is great for now!

The last lip balms I have to show are in stick form. It's strange because I prefer them in this form but I have way more in pots! Haha!
The lip balm in the orage packaging is Niveas 'Sun Protect' lip balm with SPF 30. This is fantastic for when I go abroad and need high SPF. In general I love the Nivea lip balms, they are so so moisturising and they have so many different types!
The other one I have is Burt's Bees "Pomegranate" lip balm. I really like the colour pay off on this lip balm as it gives your lips a really nice, natural cranberry red sheen which is very pretty! I am not too keen on the taste/smell of the lip balm but it is very high quality and works well.

That's all for this week's blog post!
Much Love,

All Used Up!

Heya everyone!
Today I thought I would share my thoughts on three different products that I have used up (or almost used up!) and ultimately, tell you if I would re-purchase!!

The first product is the Breakfast Scrub from Soap and Glory. I absolutely ADORE this product! It has an amazing burnt caramel smell and is just abraisive enough without being harsh! You get a really nice amount and a little goes a long way! It's a fab product and I would highly recommend!

Next is a product that I wasn't overly keen on despite the good reviews it got. It is Rimmel's 'Stay Matte' pressed powder and although I hit pan, I only used it for touch ups as I found it to really look quite cakey and as for the "Stay Matte" part...well...let's just say it doesn't last the said "5 hours" on the face and you are shiny/oily within an hour or two. Very disappointed and would not re-purchase.

Finally, the last product is the Witch Stick Concealer. It didn't take me too long to use this up, and it is a shame because it is a fab concealer! It provides great coverage and it is nice and easy to blend it into your skin. I have since found the Clinique Clearing Concealer and although the Witch one doesn't match up to that, it is still INCREDIBLE for the £3.00 I spent on it! I will definitely re-purchase this product if I'm in a pinch or for my school makeup bag!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post!
More on the way!
Much Love,
Lizzy
